If you want to go to Victoria, it’s better to rent a car once you get to Victoria because taking a car on the ferry is expensive, and it’s a hassle. If you plan to take a car to Victoria, be sure to make a reservation. Otherwise, you risk sitting in the ferry line up for several hours. From experience, I can tell you sitting in line at the ferry terminal is not fun.
