Stanley Park: One of the largest urban parks in North America, Stanley Park is 1000 acres of rain forest, beaches, gardens bordering downtown Vancouver. You’ll wander among totem poles and see Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains at Prospect Point. Unlike other large urban parks, Stanley Park is very natural and gives the wonderful feeling of wilderness in an otherwise urban environment.

Chinatown: Looking for paper lanterns, pottery, a bamboo back scratcher, Chinese herbs or other exotic gifts? Vancouver’s Chinatown, the second largest in North America, won’t disappoint you. It’s like a shortcut to China.

Gastown: Vancouver’s oldest neighborhood, famous for its cobblestone streets, steam clock, and quaint shops. Gastown was Vancouver’s first downtown core and is named after “Gassy” Jack Deighton, a British seaman, steamboat captain and barkeep who arrived in 1867 to open the area’s first saloon.

Canada Place: See Canada Place, home to the cruise ship terminal and the Vancouver convention centre.

Capilano Suspension Bridge: Often voted the best attraction in BC, the Capilano Suspension Bridge has, along with its 450 foot suspension bridge over Capilano Canyon, a Cliff Walk and Tree Top adventures, totem poles, a snack bar, gift shop and history centre.The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park offers a wonderful walk in a typical British Columbia rain forest. You’ll be here for 90 minutes.

Granville Island: Once an industrial area, Granville Island was redeveloped in the 1970s and the result is a mecca for tourists and locals alike. Browse through the public market, kids market, marina, art studios and galleries, Emily Carr University of Art and Design and many specialty shops. You’ll have time for a meal or snack at the international food court. You’ll stop for lunch at Granville Island. You’ll be here for 60 minutes.
