You can ocean kayak all year round in Vancouver.

Ecomarine, located on Granville Island, and during the summer at Jericho Beach as well, rents a wide assortment of one and two person kayaks. From either Granville Island or Jericho Beach, you can explore False Creek and English Bay. Ecomarine also offers pool kayaking classes.

Even if you only have a couple of hours, you can rent a kayak at Ecomarine and paddle along the shore of Granville Island, past the house boats and all the way to Yaletown. It’s a wonderful way to see Vancouver from the water.

Bowen Island Kayaking rents kayaks for longer periods of time and from Bowen, you can embark on ocean kayaking adventures to some of the best kayaking water in the world.

Deep Cove Kayak, located 30 minutes from downtown Vncouver rents kayaks offers hourly, daily and multi-day rentals of ocean kayaks, canoes and surf skis. From the Deep Cove dock, you can paddle up Indian Arm, an 18 km fjord/inlet with calm water and spectacular mountain and ocean scenery.

Hollyburn Sailing Club in West Vancouver offers not only sailing lessons but kayaking lessons as well during the summer. Call 604-921-2100 to sign up for these one day, small group courses.
