The Metropolitan Hotel

The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver is a well kept secret. Located downtown, across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel, The Metropolitan was originally a Mandarin hotel, and the care, expense and luxury with which it was constructed is apparent everywhere.

A Feng Shui master designed the hotel with two Fu dogs that guard the hotel’s entrance, one that symbolically protects the structure and the other that protects all who dwell within the property.

Walking into the lobby with its glorious flowers, fine Asian touches and good Feng Shui gives you and immediate sense that this is no ordinary Vancouver hotel.
When you check in, you discover that each room is oversized, beautiful and unique with Italian Frette linens and towels, 5 star décor and amenities (at 4 star prices), marble bathrooms, complimentary newspapers delivered to your door and complimentary morning car service to anywhere within the downtown core.

Diva at the Met was the most popular restaurant in Vancouver at one time, before it was overshadowed by newer, and often not as good newcomers. The food is still excellent.
