One of Rocky Mountaineer’s most popular packages, the Journey through the Clouds Explorer (was the Western Explorer) gives you a chance to experience the Canadian Rockies and stay in the most beautiful Canadian Rockies destinations and do it all in a week.
Includes nights in Vancouver, Kamloops (en route), Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff and Calgary, two magnificent days on the Rocky Mountaineer between Vancouver and Jasper
The Journey through the Clouds Explorer begins with an overnight stay in Vancouver Mondays and Thursdays from April 26 to October 4, 2021. It also offers starting from Calgary on Tuesdays and Saturdays from April 24 to October 2, 2021.
In 2017 this package was called the Western Explorer.

Rocky Mountaineer: SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf Service
- SilverLeaf Service includes reserved seating in a custom built single level car with expansive windows curving into the ceiling, hot breakfast and lunch served at your seat, and complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the day.
- GoldLeaf Service – Reserved seating in the GoldLeaf elevated dome car. Breakfast and lunch are served in the GoldLeaf dining car and GoldLeaf passengers have access to the outdoor viewing platform.
- GoldLeaf Deluxe – GoldLeaf Service on the train with upgraded rooms your hotels. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
