Welcome to Vancouver!

Vancouver is one of the world's most geographically and culturally diverse cities. It is also one of the most beautiful. You can hike in the Coast Mountains in the morning and swim in the Pacific Ocean or play golf in the afternoon.

You can shop in world class boutiques, eat at world class restaurants or ride bikes around Stanley Park and picnic along the way. Spend the evening at a trendy club in the middle of the city or have dinner at an elegant restaurant or bistro on the top of Grouse Mountain.

You can visit a North American Native Art Gallery on the University of British Columbia campus or explore the Sun Yat Sen Garden in Chinatown. You can get around easily on foot, by car, boat, ferry, float plane, helicopter, bus or SkyTrain. In short, if you're looking for a city with everything, Vancouver is the place to be.

From Vancouver you are only 39 miles from Victoria. Located on Vancouver Island, Victoria is another of the world's most beautiful cities. You can get from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria in 35 minutes by float plane or three and a half hours by bus and ferry.

From Vancouver, you are only 75 miles from Whistler, one of the most spectacular ski resorts and summer playgrounds in the world and the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

If you are cruising to Alaska from Vancouver or taking the train to the Canadian Rockies, be sure to set aside some time to explore Vancouver. It could turn out to be the highlight of your vacation.
